How to Apply Orange Peel (Textured) Epoxy Floor Coating
Floor preparation should be done before the application. There should be no level difference on the ground, a flat ground should be obtained. The floor on which the application will be made must be free from dust, dirt, moisture and various foreign substances.
After floor preparation, two-component epoxy primer should be applied. A certain amount of sand can be mixed into the primer content together with the epoxy primer. However, this may reduce the quality of the lining. The primer is expected to dry and then an intermediate coat should be applied.
Epoxy intermediate layer material is applied to the floor and application is made with a comb. After the intermediate coat dries, if necessary, sandpaper is applied to the floor and the last layer of self-leveling epoxy material is poured and the application is made. A coral roller is used to give the orange pattern, and a hedgehog roller should be used to remove bubbles. After the floor dries, UV resistance can be increased by applying a topcoat paint upon request. The application should be made according to the information in the technical files of the products, weather conditions and different uses of the recommended consumption may cause application errors.
